DOES REGISTRATION INCLUDE HOUSING?

 

No, your registration only covers the conference itself. We suggest that you go to a hotel or home-rental website. We would also highly recommend you team up with other registrants and share a home or room rental.

WHAT TIME WILL THE CONFERENCE BEGIN AND END?

 

Our gathering will begin with registration at 7:00 AM on Friday, October 4, 2019, and will conclude by 5:30 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2019. These times are subject to change. Registrants will receive a more complete schedule three weeks prior to the event.

ARE THERE GROUP DISCOUNTS?

WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE STUDENT DISCOUNT?

 

You must be a full-time student to qualify for a student discount. You will be required to present your current student I.D. when you register.

IS THIS AN INCLUSIVE SPACE for LGBTQ+ PEOPLE?

 

Yes. We are committed to a supportive, affirming space for both attendees and speakers. While we realize that not everyone attending our gathering will share our convictions on faith, gender, and sexuality, the leadership of Evolving Faith believes that the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people is a matter of justice. 

WHERE CAN I CONNECT WITH OTHER ATTENDEES BEFORE THE CONFERENCE?

 

You can connect with other attendees through social media. We are on Twitter , Instagram, and Facebook. Our official conference hashtag is #EvolvingFaith19.

You are also welcome to join our exclusive Facebook Community Group  just for this year's attendees. It is the official place to connect, figure out housing or ride-sharing or meals together, etc.

IS EVOLVING FAITH A "CHRISTIAN" CONFERENCE?

 

Short answer: yes.

Longer answer: All of the organizers at Evolving Faith are rooted within the Christian tradition and almost all of the speakers are as well. We are focused on the evolution of faith for people who follow Jesus. However, even though this event is focused on those within the Christian tradition, we recognize and honor that not everyone who attends can or will claim the same label or affiliation or connection. Everyone is welcome. We also recognize that some may experience trauma or post-traumatic stress in distinctly Christian environments, too, so please be prepared for some traditional Christian practices, such as communion, worship, and prayer, as part of the Evolving Faith experience (though they may look and feel different than how you may have experienced them before). Everyone is welcome to participate as fully or as little as they like, according to their own preference.

IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND, CAN I GET A REFUND?

 

Unfortunately, no. Tickets are non-refundable.

IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND, CAN I GIVE MY TICKET AWAY OR SELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE?

 

Yes. In order to do this, you must forward all of your ticket information to the person to whom you are giving or selling the ticket. They must have the barcode for your ticket in order to register. If you discover you cannot attend, the Evolving Faith Facebook page is a good place to let people know you have an available ticket.

IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE?

 

Unfortunately no.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE ON THE CAMPUS OF UNIVERSITY OF DENVER?

 

Yes, when you register on the Eventbrite site you can also purchase parking for $35 for two days, which will give you access to parking close to the Ritchie Center where the event is being held.

WHAT LOCAL TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE IN DENVER?

 

Most rental-car companies and rideshare services are available in Denver. Both Denver International Airport and the University of Denver are served by the city's excellent light-rail system. Magness Arena is just 0.4 miles (an eight- to ten-minute walk) from the University of Denver light-rail station. For information, cost, and schedules on the light-rail system click HERE

WILL THERE BE INTERPRETERS FOR THE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING?

 

Yes, please make sure and register under the Deaf/Hard of Hearing category. This will allow us to know who you are and how we can communicate with you directly.
